'DoggieStyleDesign' ...
How my studio became RoxiePress Studio & Design
My studio started when I was going through a transition in my life and I took a letterpress class just for funzies and from then on I was on a mission to create my on printshop Studio in my garage.
I originally came up with the domain name, 'DoggieStyleDesign.com'... and realized the name just wasn't right... so it changed to Roxie 'Press & Design Studio'... Which came from the name of my little boston terrier pup. She then became the logo and branding for my little studio.
It took me a couple years to find a letterpress machine but around 2020 I found one for sale and quickly hired my (now hubby) Blaine to take a trip up to Dallas to move this 1500lb. machine... I had no idea how we were going to do it but we did, and it was a success.
Roxie Press has evolved since 2020...
I am a full time Graphic Designer and have been since 2010, so naturally Roxie Press & Design has evolved over the years to become just one side of the business.  LMC Graphics will become the LLC at some point in my life, but for now it is the umbrella that houses all my side gigs. I now have added illustrator and Fine artist to the mix.
I have been an artist since I could crawl so it seems like it would eventually happen. Life just makes it hard to do the things we are passionate about. Since my Moms passing in fall of 2025, I have made it my mission this year to create as much art as possible and hopefully find my 'style'  instead of copying everyone elses, but hey, you have to start somewhere.
I am going to be creating drawing prompts and social media posts to hold me accountable, including this!, so feel free to join in on my journey and follow along on all the happy accidents that come from it. Follow any of my socials below to see what I am up to.
Follow me on my socials to see new projects and drawing prompts to help you stay creative too.
I read somehwere that if you surround yourself with things you want to accomplish and see them every day you are more likely to work on them, so I created my art studio that I see everyday. This helps me stay inspired and motivated to keep creating. `
